Secondary Vocational School of Horticulture
and Secondary Training College Rajhrad

Our school being the biggest secondary horticultural school of the Czech Republic by the number of students is consisted of two workplaces:

• Rajhrad-Masarykova 198 site
• Brno-Bohunice, Lány 34 site

    Both the workplaces provide the general public with a wide offer of educational and other horticultural services. The training programmes taught in the school concur each other thus enabling students to choose from a large and at the same time integrated offer of our school. Great advantage of this wide offer is its transmittance, which means the students might more easily change their chosen study branch within their curriculum how it corresponds to their needs and abilities development.

    In respect of the fact that our school has a close cooperation with horticulture schools all over the European Union and that it concerns the school with a rich and longstanding tradition, high quality educational, pedagogical and training results plus our future graduates fair perspective of further exercise and use on our and European employment market, I am convinced that our school educational institution does retain an unique place among not only South Moravian schools. Our outcomes worth is documented by the 5th position at the European Championship of young gardeners competition held in France in September 2006.
Since 1.9.2006 our school has been officially nominated the University Training School of Mendel Agricultural and Forestry University in Brno.

    This school is well known as one of a few educational institutions in the sphere of secondary schools being engaged in marginalized pedagogical work with specific learning disorders pupils.

    We are offering basic school leavers two-year to four-year study branches and as well the branch of institute (advanced study) for the school year of 2007/2008. Our educational offer novelty of Brno workplace is a new branch of education with the leaving examination (GCE) opening - Ecology and Landscape Conservation, where we expect a big focus from applicants’ part owing to our environmental protection perspective and urgent necessity.
